Welcome to the HubSpot CMS Practice Textbook. Chapter 0 briefly summarizes the target audience, prerequisite knowledge, and overall structure of this textbook, as well as the content that can be learned in each chapter.
The purpose of this textbook is to help you learn how to build and customize websites using HubSpot CMS Hub to a practical level. The book is structured so that you can learn the entire flow in chapters, from development environment preparation, HubL templates, design systems, performance, and operations.
We assume that you have the basics of HTML/CSS and experience writing JavaScript or templates. Even if you do not have a HubSpot account, Chapter 1 will guide you through how to obtain a developer account.
Each chapter can be read independently or in sequence. We recommend that you start by setting up your development environment in Chapter 1, and then get familiar with HubL in Chapter 2.
